This weekend was the Super Bowl, a game I really didn’t have any intention of watching. Well, it turns out that I did watch the game and I was happy with the results. Also this weekend was the free play event for Rainbow Six Siege. This is a game I played back in the beta and didn’t enjoy back then. So for this edition of the Weekend Warrior I take some time in the world created by Ubisoft.
When I downloaded the free game for the weekend I wasn’t looking to enjoy anything other then some free achievements. I gained a whole lot more from this experience, I actually went and bought the game while it was on sale at Best Buy for the PS4. The reason behind me buying the game on the PS4 is a story for another day. I really think the reason I didn’t enjoy this game the first time was the fact I just didn’t relax and not rush.
Playing through the situations caused me to rethink the whole idea I had about ignoring this game. I love to play through missions that make you think and slow the game down. Playing through a game like DOOM can some times keep you in that mode of constant destruction. Overall this was a fantastic weekend to play a newish game that I hadn’t added to my catalog of game yet. I also did pretty well at getting my gamer score to 91,000 this weekend as well.
Now getting the title of this article. I’m in the process of getting the Platinum trophy in Watch Dogs 2. Currently I’m at sixty one percent towards my goal. For the most part I really just need to buckle down and play some missions. I get so distracted playing in San Francisco, my heart truly belongs to that city. In one particular trophy, you are tasked with taking a picture of someone puking. It sounds easy enough as I thought I would have it in a matter of minutes.
So I went around the ball park and took plenty of pictures that should have given me the trophy. To my dismay this never happened. In all of the Youtube videos I watched no one had the problems I did. I understand I have issues with being patient at times, this is just not one of them. The last thing I did was travel over to the Jack London Square in the Oakland section of the game. I was reading online that this was the best area. For me it just doesn’t matter, the game hates me.
The lady that looked like she was ready to puke was my target. She was holding a beer and yelling about how some guy left her. This was my target. This was the lady that would get me my trophy.
After four hours of in-game time the sun started to rise and she was still talking about this guy. Swaying back and forth she never stopped talking. After all this time wasted I just hit her with a clean shot from my sniper rifle. The frustration of wasting all that time was never going to leave me if I just didn’t get this trophy.
As of this writing I did not complete my task of taking that photo. I’m off to bed so I can be well rested to work in the rain. Maybe this week I’ll find time to come back and play some more. Thank you for taking the time to read the Weekend Warrior.
